This medieval town is of great beauty and elegance. It stands on a hill over the enchanting Tiber valley.
A treasure trove of art and humanism
Situated a few miles from Perugia and Orvieto, it is circumscribed by three walls (the Etruscan, the Roman and the medieval). Inside are innumerable treasures: the palazzo comunale, or municipality, the cathedral and the church of Saint Fortunato.
This was the birthplace of Jacopo dei Benedetti, the friar poet and humanist known to the world as Jacopone da Todi.
