Borgo La Chiaracia, A Secret Retreat on the Alfina Plateau
Article published in James Magazine by Isabella Radaelli
There is a secret place nestled between Umbria, Lazio, and Tuscany: the Alfina Plateau, whose name means “fine air.” A vast volcanic plateau of basaltic origin, it is a mosaic of woodlands, cultivated fields, and lush green valleys. It is also a magical land in the heart of ancient Etruria, distinguished by its positive energy and the guardian of an age-old spirituality. Here, at an elevation of 600 meters (1,970 feet), set within a 14-hectare estate, lies Borgo La Chiaracia Resort & Spa. Its name comes from the Umbrian dialect word for “cherry” and derives from the ancient cherry tree that can still be seen on the property today.
